SEVENTH GRADE RELIGION CURRICULUM
GOALS:
- Students will express a
basic understanding of Jesus, His life and teachings, and recognize the
importance of a personal relationship with him.
- Students will
demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Beatitudes and Catholic moral teachings.
- Students will apply
knowledge of Catholic teachings to moral decision making.
- Students will apply an
openness to the Holy Spirit and a deeper understanding of the Gifts of the
Holy Spirit.
- Students will recognize
the importance of sharing their time, talents, and treasures in service to
the community in response to the Gospel call.
- Students will
articulate elements of and witness to their Catholic identity.
- Students will identify
the four forms of prayer.
- Students will demonstrate
a knowledge of Catholic teachings
in the areas of their sexuality.
- Students will express
an understanding of Christ’s presence inside them and others/
- Students will
demonstrate an understanding of Christian qualities that could bring about
God’s kingdom here on earth.
