SEVENTH GRADE RELIGION CURRICULUM

 

 

GOALS:

  1. Students will express a basic understanding of Jesus, His life and teachings, and recognize the importance of a personal relationship with him.
  2. Students will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Beatitudes and  Catholic moral teachings.
  3. Students will apply knowledge of Catholic teachings to moral decision making.
  4. Students will apply an openness to the Holy Spirit and a deeper understanding of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  5. Students will recognize the importance of sharing their time, talents, and treasures in service to the community in response to the Gospel call.
  6. Students will articulate elements of and witness to their Catholic identity.
  7. Students will identify the four forms of prayer.
  8. Students will demonstrate a  knowledge of Catholic teachings in the areas of their sexuality.
  9. Students will express an understanding of Christ’s presence inside them and others/
  10. Students will demonstrate an understanding of Christian qualities that could bring about God’s kingdom here on earth.
