SIXTH GRADE RELIGION CURRICULUM

 

 

GOALS:

  1. Students will identify the parts of the Bible and relate basic Old Testament stories.
  2. Students will describe sin and how it affects their relationship with God.
  3. Students will define covenant in relation to God.
  4. Students will act on the basis of their everyday life experiences.
  5. Students will act on the basis of their Catholic morality teaching.
  6. Students will participate in preparation for Confirmation.
  7. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  8. Students will show an appreciation for the meaning and traditions behind the sacraments.
  9. Students will show respect for the teachings of the Catholic Human Sexuality program.
  10. Students will identify the meaning of faith through an appreciation of self-worth.
