SIXTH GRADE RELIGION CURRICULUM
GOALS:
- Students will identify
the parts of the Bible and relate basic Old Testament stories.
- Students will describe
sin and how it affects their relationship with God.
- Students will define
covenant in relation to God.
- Students will act on
the basis of their everyday life experiences.
- Students will act on
the basis of their Catholic morality teaching.
- Students will
participate in preparation for Confirmation.
- Students will
demonstrate an understanding of the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
- Students will show an
appreciation for the meaning and traditions behind the sacraments.
- Students will show
respect for the teachings of the Catholic Human Sexuality program.
- Students will identify
the meaning of faith through an appreciation of self-worth.
