FIRST GRADE RELIGION CURRICULUM

 

 

GOALS:

  1. Students will express an understanding and appreciation of the Father as Creator.
  2. Students will express an understanding of Jesus as Son of God and our brother and friend.
  3. Students will describe the Holy Spirit as our helper and guide.
  4. Students will identify the Trinity as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  5. Students will identify Mary as the Mother of Jesus and our mother.
  6. Students will define Baptism as joining the family of the Catholic Church.
  7. Students will recognize prayer as listening and talking to God and will participate in traditional prayers of the Church.
