          A.  Marketing – Kim Voorhees

                   Folders & new school brochures given to new families

                   Scarves & tee shirts made for Grandparents Day

                   Advertised open house in Review, Journal, Post, etc.

                   School web site will be updated once Parish web site structure is determined

                   Question about adding video to the web site – only have 2 families who have not agreed to having their children participate in media

                             Need to create script of what we want to promote

                                      Kids in class

                                      New building plans

                                      Music, computer, artwork

                                      Include awards, Cardinal Glennon artwork, etc.

                                      Teacher talking about culture & learning environment

                             Could we use a college communications department student(s) as a service project?

VI. Principal’s Report

          School improvement process

                   Need volunteers to work on committees with teachers

                             Gene Gauthier – Institutional Issues co-chair

                             Steve Sanchez – Educational Issues co-chair

                             Erin Hopkins – Educational Issues Committee member

                             Peter Eppler – Educational Issues Committee member

                   Mrs. Brown has the book in her office if anyone wants to see it

          This year’s curriculum review subject is math, for 2009/2010 will be switching to Saxon math series

                   Information regarding the program is available online

          Staffing changes will be made for next school year

          Teachers will be taking top 20 training through the diocese in August

          Technology Update:

                   Pendergast grant, were able to order Smart Board & remotes for 4 months for free and then buy at half price – have a corporate matching gift to pay for the equipment

                   Aug. 20th first day of school

                   Family packets Aug 15 & 16

                   Nov. 5 conferences

                   Dec. 22nd noon dismissal

                   Jan. 4th classes resume

                   Easter break April 1 – 9

                   May 21st graduation

                   May 26th last day of school

a.     41 K registered as of 2/9/09

b.     All but 24 returning families have registered

c.      6 new families

          B. Pre-school

                   35 families have expressed interest

                   Receiving registrations everyday
