Dear Seventh & Eighth grade Parents,

This is my third year here at St. Paul’s Catholic School.  I am excited to be working with your children.  I will be teaching 7^th & 8^th grade Science and Religion, spell/vocab, and literature to my homeroom. 

Seventh grade Science will focus on Cells and Heredity, Sound and Light, and Bacteria to Plants.  It is important that all students complete assignments as directed and on time, they should review sections covered in class daily.  Quizzes and Tests will be given as part of a child’s assessment.  

Eighth grade Science will cover Human Biology and Health, Astronomy, if time permits will also cover Chemical Building Blocks.  It is important that all students complete assignments as directed and on time, they should review sections covered in class daily.  Quizzes and Tests will be given as part of a child’s assessment.  

In Religion we will use the Church and Sacraments text and the Morality test.  We will also cover the Family Life book and prepare for confirmation.

In literature we will read several books, some short stories and end the year with poems. 

For Spell/vocab we will use McDougal Littell’s Vocabulary and Spelling Book.  Spelling tests will be given every Thursday.
