Week :   October 6 - 10   

Science Grade 5 - Natural Resources both Renewable and Nonrenewable
                               We will be cleaning up water with a filtering process.
                                Students will need a soil sample for the activity.

                                                                     

Science Grade 6 - Students will be studying the properties of soil. We will examine
                               different kinds of soil and look at what makes them different.
                               Chapter 7 Test on Friday

Religion -   God the Creator - Creation  Story -  Adam and Eve  Chapter 4 Test on Wednesday
                    Oct. 8     Chapter 5 is Jesus Christ, Son of God

                                                               

Reading/Literature - We are reading Where the Red Fern Grows .  The students look up
                                     special vocabulary for the chapters and write a summary for each.
                                     Students read some chapters by themselves and others with a partner.
                                     We are working on Chp. 9 - 11.  We will cover the section 2 questions.
                                     In the hall are the Chp. 1- 6 ( section 1) theme pictures.
                                     We will be doing theme pictures for section 2 also. Section 2 quiz on
                                     Tuesday, Oct 7.
