Sandy Reynolds will be conducting a work shop for coaches that
need "Protecting God's Children". The first work shop is scheduled for Monday, June 3rd at St. Paul 7
- 9 p.m. A second workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28.
Please make
every effort to get any potential coaches to one of these workshops. |

The St. Paul Athletic Association is putting on a soccer camp. This is the 5th year for the camp. The camp emphasis on individual soccer fundamentals - ball striking, receiving, passing, dribbling and shooting. Skills will be taught through small group activities in a fun environment. Who: Boys & Girls grades PreK-4 (grade in the fall 2013) When: July 8-12 Monday thru Thursday 6:30pm – 8:00pm (Friday July 13 will be a rainout night if needed) Where: St Paul Soccer Fields |

It is always nice to hear positive things about sports at St. Paul's. The following is a message I received from Brian Strubhart about his basketball team and a recent contest of theirs. Please read the entire message. At the bottom is a link to see this team and their story on the CYC's main web site. Please join me and congratulate these young ladies on their christian sportsmanship and their coach for teaching sports in a positivema nner no matter the outcome.

All,
Wanted to share some great feedback about our team...
Please pass this on to your daughters --- we are truly blessed with a great group of girls...
As a coach (and a parent), I couldn't be more proud of how our girls conducted themselves today... After a very competitive game (one that we ended up on the wrong side of the score), the girls never got down and handled the loss very graciously...
The St. Genevieve basketball Lay Director was so impressed with our sportsmanship that he snapped a photo and sent it to the District Basketball Lay Director... It also made it's way to Monsignor Mike, Mark Conley (our Basketball Lay Director) and Ralph Knese (our Athletic Association President)...

This is a note written from the Ste. Genevieve basketball lay director.
Sometimes small acts can improve the quality of our lives.
One such moment happened January 6th at Ste.Genevieve du Bois.
In a 7th grade game, the girls from St.Paul, coached by Brian Strubhart,
had just lost their game as a spirited 4th quarter come back had come up just short.
After a brief huddle with their coach, the whole team ran across the gym to
catch the referee's as they made their way to the locker room.
At that point each and every one of those girls shook the referee's hand
and thanked them for the game they had officiated.
In these times when incivility and divisiveness are rampant, a moment
like this reminds us what a good Catholic attitude is.
These girls are the C.Y.C. at its very best.
